Come out of that Grave!

Have you felt like some things are dead in your life? Are you frustrated with the situations that you are going through? Do you feel so crushed in your spirit, that you just want to quit?

God told me to tell you, “Death isn’t the end, but the sign that there is space for the resurrection to show up “.

Around 2000 years ago, Jesus heard the news from the sisters that His dear friend Lazarus was very sick and dying. But Jesus did not go to see His friend and the sisters He loved to fellowship with. Lazarus wasn’t healed that day by the Savior, but died; and so did the sisters’ hearts, faith and hope. Jesus didn’t move a muscle but stayed where He was for the next 2 days. Lazarus had already been in the grave for 4 days when Jesus finally decided to show up in Bethany, the place where Lazarus was.

Are you in a similar situation as Lazarus? Have you been praying and seeking God for something just to see it all end in the grave? A place from which you think there is no coming back? Are you angry with God for not answering your prayers the way you wanted Him to? I believe all that is for God’s Glory.

When Jesus came to see Lazarus, Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask.” Jesus told her, “Your brother will rise again.”; “Yes,” Martha said, “he will rise when everyone else rises, at the last day.” But Jesus told something profound to Martha, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this?” I believe Jesus is saying the same to you.

Jesus then asked the sisters where Lazarus’ body was kept? The sisters showed the place and Jesus wept for His friend. Then Jesus asked them to roll the stone of the grave. The sisters told that the smell would be terrible, but Jesus didn’t worry about that. Once the stone was rolled, Jesus shouted, “Lazarus, come out!” And Lazarus came out, his hands and feet bound in graveclothes, his face wrapped in a headcloth. Jesus told them, “Unwrap him and let him go!”

I want to tell you today that Jesus is not done with you. He’s not done with what you’ve been seeking Him for. Your prayers were heard by your Father and He is ready to move in your life. Even if you think that bringing the dead back to life is impossible, I want to tell you that my Jesus isn’t going anywhere until your Lazarus is up from the grave.

I bet your situation really stinks as bad as Lazarus’ body stunk that day when the stone was rolled. But know that amidst your toxic mind, frustration and pain, God is moving powerfully. I prophesy over your life, “Your dead situation is coming back to life.”

But one question remains: “couldn’t Jesus have just healed Lazarus when he was sick?”. This is what God says to you today, “Death is not the end as you perceive it. Death is all around you. Don’t you see the Caterpillar die in its cocoon just to become the beautiful multicoloured Butterfly or don’t you see coal being crushed under pressure to the point of death just to become the diamond you value a million times more than coal? Death is the process I take everyone through to make them better and stronger. Death builds character in you to handle the weight of all that I have in store for you in the days to come. The eagle sheds its wings and embraces death to become the mighty soaring majestic bird it was called to be. Yes, I could just answer your prayers so you would have a testimony, or I could be the resurrection and life in your death to make you the testimony. Yes, you could just be saved to live your happy life or embrace self-denial to the point where it is no longer you who live, but Christ who lives in you.

Jesus went to the cross as a lamb yet came out of the grave as the ROARING LION OF JUDAH. So come out of the grave my child, because you are not a meek lamb meant for sacrifice, you are a Majestic Lion like your Father”

So let me leave you with this:

As the sisters begged the Saviour, “Come at once to Bethany” “For the one You love is dying,” but His “Yes” was not to be And as His weeping begged the question, “Could His friend He not have healed?” But He’s still the resurrection, even when the tomb is sealed. Elevation Worship
